Eloise Duffy

I’m currently an A-Level student studying Biology, Chemistry and English Language. I’ve been tutoring GCSE learners for a year and I love what I do. I’ve helped many students already improve their grades in Maths, English Literature and Language and all the sciences. I achieved a 9 in English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and an 8 in English Literature and Maths GCSEs. I thoroughly enjoy working through problems with my students and helping them deepen their understanding of a particular topic, to help them succeed in their exams; it’s so rewarding for the both of us!

Izzy Goodwin

Hi my name is Izzy. I am currently in year 13 and studying economics, maths and sociology. I’ve always loved maths and began tutoring it as my school hired me to tutor their students. I am a very enthusiastic and motivated tutor who is known for always smiling! I look forward to meeting all the lovely people I have the opportunity to tutor

Callum Hughes

I am a recent Masters graduate in Theoretical Physics at the University of York with a passion for spreading the enjoyment and understanding of the sciences and maths. I have experience in tutoring a wide range of ages from KS3 up to degree level. There are many reasons why I love the sciences and maths, especially physics but the satisfaction of working through a challenging problem and achieving an answer is definitely one of them. Being able to help students in their understanding of these difficult subjects and share knowledge is an extremely rewarding experience and something I love to do. I believe that, especially for mathematics and the sciences, applying knowledge and practicing questions is key so I like to focus on going through a wide variety of questions step-by-step, giving students the tools they need in order to answer more challenging questions on their own.

Chelsea Ikechukwu

Hello! My name is Chelsea, and I absolutely love languages! I have been studying French for 7 years, and Spanish for 3. At GCSE level, I achieved 97% and 99% (high grade 9s) in both subjects respectively. Additionally, I have almost 4 years of tutoring experience which has allowed me to acquire an array of skills necessary to guide those that I tutor towards success. I truly value the power that comes with learning a new foreign language, which is why I am eager to spread this sentiment to others and help them on their journey; whether aspiring for fluency or merely as a hobby!

I also offer tutoring for English and Maths from foundation to GCSE level (excluding functional skills in english).

Martin John

Hello everyone, I am Martin and I am a qualified Secondary Maths Teacher and tutor Maths from year three up to Further Maths A level and adult learners. I also teach 11 plus preparation and Economics GCSE.
I have tutored for over 15 years and qualified as a teacher with QTS in 2013, having worked in a variety of teaching roles within secondary education, and more recently within primary schools. Prior to education I worked in financial services.
I am passionate about tutoring because I can be part of a learner’s journey, develop their confidence and get to know the person, not just the student. I love learning and sharing my passion for the subjects I teach. I believe in bespoke education - tailored to an individual’s strengths, development needs and personality.
In my lessons I focus on highlighting the thinking and modelling of questions, to build confidence with mathematical risk taking, helping to eradicate  the fear of being “wrong” or “not good at maths”. I always encourage students to direct their own learning and to take ownership of their sessions.
My mission is for students to develop a love of learning - not just in maths, but a skillset that can support them in their future academic and life goals.

My hobbies:
I love being active. I go to the gym daily, play in a squash league, and enjoy exploring new places. I love football, and play in a pool league with friends. I love to read too; my favourite author is Michael Connelly who writes detective crime thrillers. One of my favourite purchases was my Kindle ebook! I am also learning Spanish, and love to play video games with my son!

A fun fact:
I am an adrenaline junkie! I love rollercoasters and have also bungee-jumped and skydived. I plan to do a second skydive soon and raise money for charity. I also hate cheese!

Niva Mehrotra

I am a 17 year old friendly and approachable A-Level student. I am offering Maths and French tuition for primary and secondary students up to GCSE. I achieved 7 9s and 4 8s at GCSE, including Grade 9 in Maths and French. I am studying 4 A-Levels - Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and French. I love to help people and am willing to spend as much time as possible to help you reach your maximum potential! I have experience tutoring Year 9 students and those who know me tell me that I am very patient and would make an excellent teacher.

I believe practice and building confidence is extremely important. I would aim to teach according to your specific needs, and go over questions from topics of your choice. Explaining and correcting mistakes is crucial to achieving top marks.

I love music and playing the drums and am in the process of becoming a qualified football referee.

Rachel Milburn

I have a friendly, rapport-building approach to my tutoring, and can adapt my practice to the bespoke needs of the pupils I teach. I am a former Assistant Vice Principal in charge of Assessment and Achievement with over fifteen years of experience teaching Maths and English GCSEs including Functional Skills as well as across the Primary Sector. I have also been a private tutor for the 11plus examinations and worked across several PRUs supporting pupils with SEND. I have a Master's degree in Education and obtained the National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership (NPQSL) specialising in Maths Mastery.

Will Rean

I am a recent graduate from the University of Birmingham with a master's degree in mechanical engineering. Since graduating, I have used my skills to help a number of students with maths and physics GCSE and A-level. Using my passions to help others is extremely rewarding, especially alongside the opportunity to meet like-minded people with similar academic interests to me. I believe that, with determination and patience, there is no problem that can't be solved. I hope I can continue to meet many more interesting people through tutoring!
